TSF Answer Templates
This document is intended for volunteers of the TSF, but anyone else is free to take a look as well.
Using templates
Templates are mostly examples that usually work well with the users. Feel free to modify them to suit yourself and the situation.
When answering, it is best to start small, with a limited amount of text and a few links — then fill in the gaps, if the user comes back with deeper questions. Offered here is a set of ‘conversation starters’ that covers just about 99% of all the questions we get. Especially, when combined with info on user suggestions, troubleshooting tips and your personal selection of replies to the questions ‘hello’ and ‘how are you’.
See the tl_about_templates.txt file that came with your TSupport client for instructions on adding new templates. It is vitally important to keep any templates you use up to date. The list will be expanded (and sometimes contracted) as time goes by, so tell me if anything is missing.
